We spent a glorious vacation at El Palmar Beach & Tennis Resort. As avid tennis players, we knew that we would get the chance to play each day on the clay courts in Cihuatlan surrounded by banana groves and vines of passion fruit. What we did not expect was the warm friendship John, Rosa and Katherine provided.
We've been coming to El Palmar for many years now and it never disappoints. All units on 1st and 2nd floors have kitchen facilities, en suite baths while the 3rd floor has 4 fully equipped apartments. There is a nice pool, and an outdoor patio grill for use by guests. Cleaning service is daily except for Sundays and fresh-baked local bread is delivered to your door daily except Sundays. On many Wednesday evenings, guests are invited to participate in a potluck dinner followed by live music.
Thank you Fergie for showing me your high level of skill and quiet style of tennis instruction. Your knowledge, patience and support is to be commended. I appreciated your ability to take a skill apart so that others could understand it. The repetition to help skill learning was another bonus. So were the tips to use in training, play and tennis in general. You are a true professional and provide unlimited inspiration to the tennis game.
Muchas gracias!

We had a great time at El Palmar. As advertised, the tennis, and the hospitality were all amazing, but what we weren't expecting was that we were right next door to the best part of the beach. Quiet, beautiful, and endlessly relaxing. We would definitely go back!
There are 4 clay courts nearby and El Patlmar's owner takes guests there and back by van for drop-in tennis matches. Melaque is not a luxury resort town which makes it a wonderful place to visit.
